A culture of sustainability rooted in the territory. The Open-Air Lab actions within the MUSA project

Abstract:

The article frames the theme of Learning Cities by taking as an example the way in which the Open-Air Lab research group, within the MUSA project, has worked on the construction of a participatory culture of sustainability in the city of Milan. After outlining the theoretical framework of the project, the article examines the actions that have addressed the decline of lifelong learning in an urban context, promoted at the level of formal, informal and non-formal learning. In particular, it will look at how they have worked on the 0-6 years band together with childcare services; on the exploration and research of sustainability practices in the area; on the production of a podcast as an open science tool. Finally, we will see how these actions converge in a digital platform to support the construction of a participatory culture of sustainability.
