Abstract
This study analyses primary teachers’ intrapersonal and interpersonal competences for bullying and cyberbullying prevention. A self-assessment tool combining Likert-type items and situational judgement tasks, based on real school situations reported by teachers, was applied to a sample of teachers in Spain (n=66). Results show high perceived competence, especially in empathy, communication, collaboration, resilience and decision-making. However, situational judgements reveal a gap between feeling competent and choosing the most appropriate pedagogical response in complex classroom situations. Main difficulties concern emotional self-regulation, flexible decision-making, active listening, follow-up and shared responsibility in digital incidents. The findings support teacher training based on real cases, practical reflection and situated decision-making.
