Practices of Professional Pedagogy: self-narration training circle as key experience of the training process

Abstract

In an essential, rigorous and systematic way, the paper defines traits and functionalities of one of the practice the pedagogical practitioner employs in the planning and supervision of adult education actions: self-narration training circle.. The analysis deals with theoretical references, venues, strategies, conceptual and practical tools the pedagogical practitioner can rely on due to that inseparable organic relationship of “care” he/she is involved in as concerns educational issues. More specifically, the paper analyses functions which narrative processes can develop within a pedagogical practice oriented to examine the life path of each person as opportunity for evolution and emancipation. In this regard, the focus is on training and transforming dimensions characterising the experience of sharing one’s own life story in order to foster resources both of individuals and groups.
