The new Italian legislation, in terms of inclusion, highlight the principle of self-determination and the necessity of active involvement of students with disability in their educational path. The purpose of the present essay is to define the possible strategies useful to promote the participation of the student with disabilities in educational path. The essay describes the results of the qualitative research (focus group), involving 19 teachers, who discussed with the researchers about the possible ways able to meet the participation of the student with disabilities needs to evaluation of the educational patterns to them directed.
