This article analyzes the phenomenon of scholasticide in Palestine. Through dialogue with a Palestinian student and Operazione Colomba volunteers, it emerges how the right to education is systematically impeded by direct and cultural violence and widespread demolitions of educational facilities. The article also explores the role of UNRWA, the criticisms surrounding access to studies abroad, and the tensions surrounding recent curriculum reform. In this context, the concept of Sumūd expresses a perseverance that goes beyond mere resilience, indicating the will to remain, to study, and to preserve hope, memory and identity despite the devastation.
