Abstract:
The present study aims to investigate the strategies used in training new special education teachers during their school internship. Through a questionnaire administered to their tutor (expert teachers), key areas of tutorship will be explored, including lesson planning, pedagogical support, classroom management, and the professional development of trainees. The survey tool provides both quantitative and qualitative data on the approaches adopted by tutors, with particular attention to how they personalize their support, encourage critical reflection, and promote practical learning for the trainee. The findings offer an in-depth understanding of the most effective practices in the training of special education teachers, providing valuable insights for optimizing mentoring programs and improving the training experience of future teachers. In conclusion, this study contributes to the ongoing debate on professional teacher development, highlighting the importance of qualified and reflective supervision that fosters inclusive and high-quality teaching.
