University and artificial intelligence: ethical perspectives and the search for values in the student population


The article investigates the ethical relevance of artificial intelligence and the impact of technologies on the university life of the student population. Using both a theoretical and empirical approach, it is divided into two parts: in the first, the importance of ethically investigating the scientific and value changes brought about by artificial intelligences - a three-year survey already conducted that led to the publication of a monograph - will be presented. through the tools of bibliographic research and the method of content analysis, exposing reflections on the applications of this device; in the second, the macro-results of a research conducted between 2020 and 2022 at the Roma Tre University will be presented which, through the administration of a closed-ended questionnaire submitted to the student population (4880 responses were obtained ) had as its purpose the desire to understand what the real technological needs of this sample are, their relationship to digital devices, emerging values ​​and models and their practices of use.
