A school outside of school: an analysis of the laboratory methodology from a pedagogical point of view in educational community for young people


This paper aims to explore the pedagogical aspects, still little explored, of the competence of the social educator in non-formal contexts of educational community for young people. These entities draw the development of a laboratory methodology from the perspective of the pedagogical design, managed by the educator who, unlike other professionals like the teacher, hasn’t a structured method for this approach, due to the heterogeneity and flexibility of the context in which he/she works. This paper shows the results of the first part of a wider research that follows the mixed methods approach, with sequential exploratory design. In line with the aim of this first quantitative study, we present a profile that is typical in designing a laboratory pedagogy as it emerged from the research carried out in the communities of the Apulian territory.
