Individual and group evaluation in the "Group investigation": a methodological proposal in an art history teaching project

Abstract

Evaluation allows students to become aware of their own educational process with the acquisition of disciplinary contents and skills and competences connected to them; however, it is also an educational moment because it can guide students' attitudes, improving the subjects and contexts involved. In Cooperative learning, evaluation allows us to enhance both individual intellectual resources, thanks to interdependence, and the activity of the entire group through appropriate strategies. Here we present a methodological proposal adopted in a Group investigation project in a secondary school, in which the evaluation of the entire group took on great importance. Results were observed using various tools, including evaluation rubrics and self-assessment questionnaire.
