Artificial Intelligence and Promotion of Socio-Emotional Skills in Primary School: Ethical-Pedagogical Perspectives and Educational Possibilities

The ethical-functional design, programming and management of artificial intelligence and robotics represent one of the greatest challenges that the new generations are certainly facing. A challenge that commits man to a return to the sense of the relationship that he/she has always weaved with technology. A challenge that also engages him/her in a translation of this same sense in formative paths that promote in the new generations those human qualities, those socio-emotional skills indispensable for a governance of artificial intelligence, that is effective and ethically oriented. Early and universal training paths for this reason in particular referred to primary school with respect to which educational robotics can constitute not only a training "means" (to be tested, to know and understand for its functional potential) but also an early experience of critical relationship between child and artificial intelligence.
