Early identification of learning difficulties and strengthening in preschool

Abstract:

The early detection of learning difficulties, attributable to a Specific Learning Disorder (SLD), during the pre-school period is of fundamental importance in order to initiate teaching activities aimed at acquiring the prerequisites for school learning.  Carrying out screening and subsequent reinforcement makes it possible to act on several fronts: preventing educational failure, avoiding the consequent demotivation to study, strengthening the metacognitive, social and emotional aspect of the pupil. The objective of this research therefore consists in the early identification, in a group of children attending the last year of the pre-school, of pupils potentially at risk of DSA, to whom a course is proposed aimed at strengthening pre-literacy and pre-mathematics.
