Abstract
In recent years, we have witnessed a substantial increase in the number of minors involved in war contexts, and the impact of armed conflicts on the education of children is well known. This article examines the progressive weakening of the education system, with particular reference to the Gaza Strip, which is evident in the destruction of school infrastructure, the interruption of teaching activities and the loss of educational opportunities. The categories of scholasticide and educide show the systematic destruction that directly interferes with the respect for children's rights, but they are countered by forms of educational resistance that can be traced back to the word Sumūd: a school that finds space in a tent and an artistic project that has been transformed into an exhibition that has found a home in various countries around the world, including Italy.
