In this paper, Augmented Reading, a practice of actions to increase pleasure and interest in narrative texts, is proposed as an educational strategy to counter the progressive decline of paper-based reading. The close connection with the digital ecosystem and the creative production of new content make it an ideal field for experimenting generative AI. During the school year in the Marche region, workshops were held for 16-year-old students aimed at creating original digital products (comics, talking pictures, motivational posters, 360° settings) with the support of AI. Satisfaction tests carried out with the students showed positive feedback, particularly motivated by the collaborative dimension of experimenting with new tools.
