Abstract:
The following paper aims to propose an experimental teaching grant called "Collaborate and Think" (CaT) which combines a game of society with the teaching of civic education. This device, designed for students between the ages of 8 and 14, is based on the principles of social constructivism, useful to emphasize relationships between students. In addition, the methodology of gamification is adopted suitable to promote participation and motivation of the same. CaT develops on an educational path that refers to a table that consists of 46 posts, which contain questions aimed at raising awareness about episodes of violence. In fact, through the use of this support, one wants to educate to tolerance and inclusion by leveraging on concepts and notions proper to civic education. The expected results relate to the evaluation, through qualitative-quantitative methods, of the effectiveness of the device in the teaching of civic values.
