The school as a milieu of caring in the digital transformation


Abstract

In its educational, education and training values, schools are complex places on several levels: organisational, managerial and didactic. As a democratic device for the development of every citizen, the school is a milieu for promoting skills to inhabit the complexity of the processes under way and more inclusive and equitable communities. In a school conditioned by digital platforms that risk accentuating existing inequalities and fragilities, this theoretical contribution proposes a reflection on the school as an open medium for the critical learning of the new alphabets of the digital ecosystem. It is possible to imagine a school capable of taking care of young people and future generations through an intentional and critical use of technologies as nootechnologies, as artefacts at the service of strengthening the nous, that is to say, thinking and mastering a digital citizenship that opens up social ties.
