Non-cognitive competences refer to thought patterns, personal traits, motivations and behaviors that are built and changed over the course of life in a continuous transformative learning process and have a positive effect on social life and career paths. The narrative biographical approach within pedagogical accompanying relationships of adults can stimulate processes of reflection on experiences and allow self-assessment activities of non-cognitive competences. The contribution intends to propose a theoretical reflection on the potential of using narrative biographical methods in pedagogical accompaniment and adult education paths to recognize, enhance and strengthen non-cognitive competences, so that a greater awareness of the role of these competences can support the development of the subject as a human being.
