Transitions in the migratory path and the role of the CPIA in accompanying adult immigrants

Abstract:

The migratory choice represents a planning action in the course of which various transition dimensions arise: spatial, emotional, cultural, social status, alphabetic, linguistic, professional, citizenship. The immigrant adult goes through a process of recontextualization of his personal and cultural identity in a condition of overall deprivation, in which the pedagogical accompaniment carried out within the educational paths offered by the CPIA can be decisive in relation to the outcomes of the various processes of transition mentioned above. The contribution presents the results of a qualitative-quantitative action research, participatory and with transformative purposes which has allowed the definition of a profile of specific competences for the teachers of the CPIA, strategic competences to favor the accompaniment in the path of educational inclusion of adult immigrants.
